Mastering Cones, Spires, and Arches

If your roof looks like a simple pyramid or staircase, you are missing out on the dramatic silhouettes arches can provide. Instead of going 'up one, right one', try alternating the slope! Go 'up two, right one, up three, right one' as you get closer to the peak. This forces the base to sweep outwards smoothly and the tip to thrust sharply upward like a gothic spire.
